New Release Showcase - Day of the Dead Marie Antoinette

Hi, everyone!  So glad you can stop by.  ^_^  Today, I have a very special new release showcase.  It's "Day of the Dead Marie Antoinette"!  Ever since I did the illustration of "Santa Muerte" for Enchanted Visions Project that I am a part of, I've been infatuated with the Catrina of the Mexican holiday, Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead).  I've been wanting to draw a skull painted beauty with a big Rococo hair for some time, so I'm very happy to finally get to introduce you to this one.   The inspirations the Aurora Wings DT designers have come up with are truly impressive.  Enjoy the showcase!

"Day of the Dead Marie" is available at AW Etsy shop in the FEATURED section across the top and also at AW web shop here.  She is available in both JPG and PNG (at Etsy only).  This digi is loaded with fun details from her Catrina makeup to cat skull to the traditional marigolds in the flowers that frame Marie.

Hope you enjoyed this gorgeous showcase.  ^_^  Till next time, happy coloring!

Aurora Wings Rubber Stamp Giveaway

Hi, everyone!  I have something different for you today. ^_^  It's a GIVEAWAY!  Who doesn't love a giveaway, right?

The prize I have here has been provided by Sweet Pea Stamps, which is a company that is licensed to produce my designs in classic red rubber stamp format.  (Yes, if anyone here has not been made aware, some of my digi images are available in rubber stamp as well.)  They have many fantasy artists on their list, so please check them out and discover something new!  And while you're at it, remember to visit and join their Facebook group here.

OK, now the giveaway information you're looking for. ^_^  Click on the image to see it at full size.

I'm giving away two rubber stamps - Christmas Owl and The Gift.  Two lucky winners will receive one of these stamps each (randomly chosen by me). The season of giving and appreciating is rapidly approaching, and I figured these would be perfect for the lucky winners to use to make cards, gift tags, or maybe even some hand-decorated wrapping paper!! :D

*** Winners Announcement: Right Here on This Blog on Nov. 3, 2014 ***

That's all!  I'm keeping it simple.  I decided to run a giveaway here on the AW Showcase Blog because ... first and foremost, I would love to see a larger following here since my DT does such a fabulous job of creating beautiful samples with new releases and they deserve to be seen more!!  Secondly, I'm a little tired of all the confusion that goes on with running a giveaway on Facebook, with people commenting on shared posts and things getting out of control rapidly. ^^;

Now, before you jump to the bottom of this post in a hurry and comment, I just want to be doubly clear that these are UNMOUNTED red rubber stamps, meaning they are not on a wood or acrylic block and ready to use.  You'll have to provide your own mounting block and do a bit of DIY work before actually using them.  It's probably not a big deal for you if you're an avid rubber stamp collector, but it might come as a complete surprise to someone who is not used to seeing stamps in this form.  By entering this giveaway, it is assumed that you've read and understood this. ^_^

Good luck!! :D

New Release DT Showcase

Hi, everyone!  Thank you for stopping by.  ^_^  Today, we have a new release showcase of a Halloween digi that's not creepy for a change. LOL  Seriously, this one is regular old-fahioned 'cute'.  It's called "Young Witch with Cat".  (I'm just not the type who gives names to their digi images.  You'll just have to forgive me for that. ^^; )  Anyway, this cutie is getting the help of her kitty selecting the perfect pumpkin.

We have beautifully colorful inspirations from our DT for you.  Enjoy!!

"Young Witch with Cat" is available as a JPG and a PNG (transparent background) file.  It measures 2100 pixels square (7"x7" or 17.8 x 17.8 cm) at 300 dpi.  Available at Etsy shop here. (The PNG version of the digi can be found at this link here.)  The JPG version comes with white background file and a black background file to give you a little more flexibility (and making fussy cutting easier).

Shown with black background.
PNG digi preview.
I'm in the process of making PNG file versions of the digis available at the shop, which is a major undertaking, considering the sheer volume of listings...  For those of you who are not familiar with this file type, it is an image file that supports transparency.  The white of the background is removed to allow for layering in such programs as Photoshp or Paint Shop Pro to give you the option of adding sentiment or background to your digi.  More PNG digis will be added to the shop in the coming months.  You can easily spot them by the background of tangerine-with-circles in preview images (as seen above) at the shop.

That's all for today.  Till next time, happy coloring!
