New Release Showcase

Welcome to our first new release showcase of 2016!!  We hope you'll like what you see here today.  I have a winged mermaid - you might call her an angel mermaid or a mer-angel - that I titled "Guardian of the Sea".  She also comes available as a mermaid without the angel wings.  You'll see what I mean in the gallery by our talented Showcase Team designers.

The angel version is titled "Guardian of the Sea", and comes at a full-page size of 8 x 11 inches or 20.3 x 27.9 cm (2400 x 3300 pixels).  Available at the AW Etsy shop at this link in JPG and at this link in PNG.

The mermaid version is title "Lady of the Sea", and comes a little smaller at 6 x 10.5 inches or 15.2 x 26.7 cm (1800 x 3150 pixels).  Still a pretty large digi.  Available at the AW Etsy shop at this link in JPG and at this link in PNG.

Open Call for DT at AuroraWings Challenge Blog

Yes, you read it right!  AuroraWings is adding a new challenge team beginning March 7th. Would you like to join the AuroraWings family?  Starting in March, we will soon have TWO challenges per month with the current "Aurora" Team hosting the third Monday of the month challenge, as always, and the new "Stella" Team hosting on the first Monday.  This new team is designed to  give more crafters the opportunity to design for AuroraWings, so the term is for 6 months only.  There will be a regular Open DT call for the "Stella" Team every 6 months.  You may reapply in the future, but not consecutively. All levels of crafters are encouraged to apply.  

Here is a list of duties for the AW Stella challenge team.

• Design a card or other paper product sample for challenges beginning the first Monday of every month.
• Schedule your own blog post to coordinate with the new challenge
• Help spread the word about the new challenge and special events at the AW Facebook group and on any social media you use
• Comment on challenge entrants for the number you are assigned

Our ideal candidate will have the following qualities.

• A fan of AuroraWings digital stamps and love playing with them
• Not involved in too many DT obligations so you have time to create for AuroraWings
• Love entering challenges and blogging about your craft projects using AW digis
• Be familiar with the basic blog functionalities
• Does not have to be an advanced crafter/colorist, but creates with passion and joy
• Good at written communications in English (via e-mail, Facebook PM, etc.) and enjoy sharing details of your work in your blog posts
• Experience with designing for blogs (showcase or challenge) helpful, but not required
• Be able to stay with us for a period of 6 months.  You may reapply at a later date, but not consecutively.  
• Good time management/organization skills and ability to meet deadlines

Here's what a Stella Challenge designers, if chosen for the position, will get.

• Your blog badge as a designer for AW Challenge Blog
• Access to AW digis for use on your DT projects
• Access to a small, designers-only FB secret group, where most communications will take place
• Having your sample work featured on AW's Etsy listings with your blog links
• Designers-only perks like special discount code and access to some new release digis

Christmas Sprites Mini Coloring Book Showcase

Welcome to our Christmas Sprites Showcase, celebrating the publication of the new Christmas Sprites Mini Coloring Book!!  The Aurora Wings designers from both the Challenge Blog and the Showcase Blog have created adorable samples for you from the brand new images that are exclusive to this new coloring book.  The designers received the images directly from me to work with for this special showcase.  But all images in this volume of coloring book were digitally drawn and printed at original size for an excellent print quality, so you'll be able to get scans/copies made of your coloring book pages to use on your craft projects such as the ones you see here today!  Enjoy the gallery of the Christmas Sprites by our fabulous designers!!

And here is a look at the remaining 6 Sprites that are also included in this coloring book (already available in digital stamp format).  These were redrawn for the coloring book for a clean print (Because books are printed with black ink only unlike home printers that use cyan/magenta/yellow/black to create hundreds of thousands of shades of grey.).  Poinsettia Sprite, Holly Sprite, Mistletoe Sprite, Christmas Cactus Sprite, Little Santa, and Christmas Tree Sprite.

Two New Releases

Welcome to Day 2 of our big celebration weekend event!!   We kick off the second day of our festivities with a new release showcase of TWO digis.  How exciting!

The ladies of the Showcase DT have worked extra hard to make this possible today, so please give them lots of love for ther time and creativity by visiting their blog posts if you like their work you see here.  Everyone appreciate words of encouragement and an occasional pat on the shoulder, so let's spread the love!

First up, this new image started out as a small scribble on a scrap paper measuring less than 5" x 7", but ended up so detail packed, it's vertically longer than most of my digis.  Please check out the beautiful inspirations made with "Mermaid and Her Baby" digi!

This elegant mermaid mother and her precious little mer-baby digi, "Mermaid and Her Baby", comes at 5.5" x 9.5" or 13.9 x 24.1 cm approx., at 300 dpit, 1650 x 2850 pixels.  This digi comes with an additional cropped or 'portrait' version of the mom and the baby at 5" x 7" (12.7 x 17.8 cm).  Available in JPG or PNG at AW Etsy, and also in JPG at AW online digi shop (found under the Mermaids Collection).

Now, the second release of the day!  Happy news for my Sprites fans.  It's a Christmas Sprite!  Meet "Christmas Lights Sprite"!   While most of the Showcase DT was busy with the first big digi (plus another showcase coming up next Friday!!),  Silvia, Jan, & Debra from Showcase DT, and Donna & Glo from Challenge DT were able to help me out on a super short notice for this new release (I almost thought I'd be releasing this one without inspirations...  ^^;  )  Thank you, ladies, for your help!
