New Release Showcase - February

Welcome to our first showcase of 2019!  We're bringing 4 new Animal Sprites to join the growing new Baby Animal Sprites Collection.  With Easter coming up and warmer weather approaching (Some of you are lucky to be enjoying that already!), I was bitten by the "baby animal bug" as you can see.

First up, we have the Chicken Sprite.  Some of you know that I'm a backyard chicken enthusiast, who got started on this hobby/lifestyle somewhat reluctantly (Well, when it's your hubby's idea, ...and you just KNOW you're going to be the one who will be taking care of the chickens sooner than later... You know how that goes.).  I'm happy to report that I quickly became a big fan of these fun, feathered friends, who bring joy and fresh eggs with relatively little work on my part (Being a morning person is a big plus.).

Our girls free-range in the open part of the backyard.
I had to put a fence around my garden boxes because the girls are so destructive!

Below are samples created by our Showcase DT and help from a few AWCB designers.  Enjoy!

Next up, we have sweet little Lamb Sprite!  Fluffy and cuddly, this sweet baby is all warm and cozy, holding a baby lamb.  I think pastel colors would look adorable on this one as well as naturalistic colors (including the black sheep).

Now get ready for the adorable Duckling Sprite!  Let's face it, baby ducks are adorable with their downy yellow plumage and the distinct beak.  Every spring, I can't resist going to the local farm & feed supply stores just to check out the baby ducks and chicks.

And finally, we have the Llama Sprite!  Although I intended this Sprite to be the Llama Sprite, if you want to call it an Alpaca Sprite, go right ahead.  After all, they do look similar (Llamas are a lot bigger, have longer ears and face/snout, for starters. Check out this article if you're curious to know more.), so this baby can be whichever you want it to be.

Now, no New Release Showcase is ever complete without a discount code or two for the weekend, right?  Here you go!  Prices are generally lower at AuroraWings.com (lower overhead for me), but a lot of digis are sale-priced at AW on Etsy.  The codes in this ad can be used at either locations - just one code per order, please.  You can use them more than once during the weekend.

And I would like to remind you of our current challenge over at Aurora Wings Challenge Blog.  Our latest theme is "Over the Rainbow".  Sounds lovely, doesn't it?  The interpretation is always up to you - you could approach it as a rainbow colors challenge, sympathy, pots of gold, rainbow motifs (die cuts, background, patterns, etc.) or take the inspiration from the famous song.  Whatever strikes your fancy works for us!  Check out the gorgeous and creative inspirations from our Stella DT at the link above.  There'll be more inspirations coming to you on Monday, March 4th, too.
Hope to see many of you join in the fun!

That's it for this New Release Showcase.  Thank you for being with us.  Hope you enjoyed the inspirations by our fab designers.  Wishing everyone a lovely weekend!!
