Featured Creation by Joanne

It's getting cold as we head straight on to the heart of the holiday season.  I'm sure everyone is busy with shopping, decorating, and social gatherings (performances at school, office party, church party, and oh so many more).  I just wanted to bring you another crafter feature today after taking a bit of a break.  I'm still working on the renovation of the digi store, while trying to get the house ready for the holidays like everybody else, so I missed doing these spotlight features since November.

I've been wanting to showcase Joanne Godden Bell's lovely coloring project with the Snow Queen - Blooms of Ice - digi.  Check it out!

Isn't she lovely?  Very icy, mesmerizing with the frozen gaze, and what a lovely setup for the photo!
Information on which colors she used can be found on her blog post right here.

This Snow Queen is the latest to join the Aurora Wings' digital stamps collection, but many of you know that I have multiple images inspired by the story of the Snow Queen (the original Hans Christian Andersen version).

This is a full-size coloring page digi at 2400 x 3300 pixels

Icy Snow Queen
Card sized at 1500 x 2100 pixels
(Prints just fine for coloring at full page size.)

Card sized 2100 x 1500 pixels
(Also prints just fine for coloring at full page size.)

Full size coloring page digi at 2150 x 3150 pixels

Thank you again for stopping by today!  Happy coloring & Happy Holidays!

New Release Showcase - Whisper of the Sea

I'm so glad you are here with us today for another new release showcase from the AWSB design team!  A little while back, I was part of a special fundraiser as an image contributor.  The image, "Starfish Mermaid", was what I contributed to this event, and the digi was available to all those who donated to the cause.

"Starfish Mermaid" from the fundraiser in 2015
The event was very successful and lots of people received a choice of digis from participating artists.  But since it was an event-specific image, a "limited release", she was not going to be made available anywhere afterwards.   Many of you have seen beautiful makes with the "Starfish Mermaid" and asked me where you could find her...  Fast-forward many months and here we are finally!  We have a new release of the same character, a big eyed, doll faced mermaid with a gorgeous hair, "Whisper of the Sea".  Enjoy the gallery!

The 'Whisper of the Sea' mermaid digi is available in JPG and in PNG at Aurora Wings Etsy store.
She comes in at 1500 x 1800 pixels (5 x 6 inches or 12.7 x 15.2 cm at 300 dpi).  So many color possibilities!!

And here are this weekend's discount codes at Aurora Wings Etsy Shop.  Remember to check out holiday images on sale in the SALE Digis section for already discounted digis, too.  And in case if you're wondering, "What happened to the AW web shop?", I want to let you know that it's under renovation at the moment.  I am working on a new shop section.  When it's time for re-opening, I will let you know.

Have you noticed we are inching ever closer to the milestone of 3,000 members at the Stamps by AuroraWings FB group?  The party we'll have when that number is reached is going to be HUGE!  So please let your friends know about our group and all the fun stuff that's going on - from monthly contest to weekly giveaways.  But please, ask them first before you add them to the group.  Our admins will approve the "add" requests automatically when someone from the group adds friends.

Here's something extra, just for this weekend.

EDIT (11:43 am MST): The mermaid is looking for a name at the Stamps by AuroraWings FB group this weekend (now through Nov. 20, 2016).  Stop by and drop off a suggestion.  You will be the winner of the upcoming full version (with tail and fins) digi of her if she picks your name suggestion.

Featured Creation by Teresa

It's November 1st already!  Hope everyone had a safe & fun Halloween.  Since it's the Day of the Dead celebration time in Mexico, I'd feature a beautiful card by Teresa Morgan to get in the mood today.

Isn't she gorgeous?  I love how the bright pastel tones of pink, blue, and green, grounded by the purple and black.  The final look is an elegant mystery with contrast of youthfulness and maturity, life and death, light and dark...   You can read more about, and see more picks of, this lovely creation by Teresa on her blog post right here.

Teresa's beautiful card features the Las Calaveras digital stamp, which you can find here on Etsy and here at my web site.  This beauty comes in at 1800 x 2400 pixels, that's 6 x 8 inches or 15.2 x 20.3 cm at 300 dpi in JPG.

Teresa receives a digi of her choice and a custom blog badge with today's date for being the featured crafter today.  I am open for submissions of your work with AW digi or rubber stamp images anytime throughout the year.  Feel free to add your photos to the special album at our FB group HERE.

We're coming to a close of our ATG challenge at Aurora Wings Challenge.  Challenge will end at 11:55 pm EDT US Saturday, Nov. 5 (3:59 am GMT, Sunday, Nov. 6). Still time to join!

And we have a new monthly contest at our FB group.   November's theme is "Nature's Bounty" - basically anything inspired by food - veggies, fruits, baked goodies, holiday food - and their shapes, colors, aromas, etc.  Lots of possibilities.  Feel free to interpret the theme in your own, creative way.  Thinking outside of the box can give you a big payoff!

New Release Double Showcase

Welcome to our new release showcase!  Today, we have a garden to stroll through (... or scroll down, in this case!) for you.  Two gardens of roses!!

First up, we have the 'Crown of Roses' gallery.  Enjoy!!

The 'Crown of Roses' digi is a full-size coloring page/digital stamp, coming in at 2400 x 3000 pixels, that's 8 x 10 inches/20.3 x 25.4 cm at 300 dpi.  You can create a colored page to be framed, a mixed-media wall art, or size down to use on a greeting card project.  As you can see in our DT's inspirations, this rose fairy is lovely in so many color palettes!  You can find her at this link.

Next up, we have another rose image, with just a touch of a pensive mood.  She's called 'Weeping Rose'.  Enjoy the inspiration gallery!

The 'Weeping Rose' digi is also a full-size coloring page file, coming in at 2400 x 3000 pixels, which is 8 x 10 inches/20.3 x 25.4 cm at 300 dpi.  She is available at this link.   Just like the 'Crown of Roses', this digi also works in so many color palettes.  I think it's versatile enough to make cards for various occasions - birthday, Mother's Day, engagement, get-well, sympathy, wedding, and even holidays, like Christmas.

I hope you enjoyed looking through our new release double showcase today.  If you like what you see, please consider leaving a comment either here or on the designer's blog post.  We all love hearing what you think!!

Now, here's probably what you've come to expect here at AW... a new release weekend coupon code!  Indeed!  I have something for you to make your shopping extra fun this weekend.  Check out below!
