Hi, everyone! Thank you so much for stopping by to check out our new release showcase today!! Since our last showcase with Little Kitsune Anko, I've been bitten by the Japan bug. It's the cherry blossom time of the year - it makes me nostalgic every spring. So, when an inspiration strikes, I don't resist. I run with it. And this is the result. I have a new image of a lovely maiko (a young apprentice geisha) with the full set of hair ornament. I've been wanting to make a maiko/geisha digi that honors the traditional beauty in its authentic way. I've titled this one Miyabi - a somewhat old-fashioned Japanese word for the type of elegance and refinement the ancient capital, Kyoto offers. It's also one of my favorite Japanese words, and it's the middle name I gave to my child. ^_^ I hope you enjoy this special showcase. The DT has worked hard to bring you this gallery of gorgeous interpretations. Feast your eyes on these gorgeous makes!
"Miyabi" digi is available in two versions - figure-only version and with full background of kimono textile pattern. Here are the specifications and links to the listings.
Miyabi Figure-Only Version - 1650 x 2100 pixels at 300 dpi, JPG 5.5" x 7" or 14 x 17.8 cm approx.
Miyabi Full Version - 2100 x 2400 pixels at 300 dpi, JPG 7" x 8" or 17.8 x 20.3 cm approx.
And if anyone is interested in coloring her up to be an authentic maiko, I have this guide you can look at. These guidelines are meant to be suggestions, not an absolute rule. It's also to help you identify what's what in her elaborate hair-do and layers of kimono, which can be confusing in line art. ^_^
Hope you enjoyed today's new release showcase! Thank you so much for stopping by.
Happy coloring, and have a great weekend!
