Welcome to our New Release Showcase after a long break! I'm very excited to introduce you to the first arrivals of the new Zodiac Sprites Collection. Not to be confused with the Chinese Zodiac digis I've been bringing at the start of the past two years, this one refers to the zodiacal signs of the Western Astrology. Hope you're as excited about this as I am!
I was originally hoping to bring this series ... or the very first one or two signs ... at the beginning of the astrological year - March. Well, we've all heard about what happens to the best laid plans, haven't we? *chuckles* Fast forward close to the end of May, and here we are - I'm dumping the first four signs in this BIG showcase today! There will be two more installments of four signs each in the coming months. (Don't want anyone feeling left out, y'know?)
But before I start showing off the fabulous work of our Design Team, I'm thrilled to announce that Donna, Marion, and Cristena (all previously of the Aurora Wings Challenge Blog DTs) are joining the AW Showcase DT!!
So, those of you who were bummed about the closing of the challenge blog, you will continue to see these ladies' fabulous work right here! And I'll have another news later on this post..., but don't let me get sidetracked...
First up, we have the sign of ARIES for those who were born between March 21 and April 19 (Keep in mind, the dates are approximate...). The rams are famous (infamous?) for their fiery temper, but they're said to make great leaders. They're able to move forward without fear, full of enthusiasm, independence, and strength. Ready for any challenge!
Next up is the sign of TAURUS, for those who were born between April 20 and May 20 (Once again, you'll see dates vary depending on which source you consult... and they say, "Oh, you're ON THE CUSP!", whenever you happen to fall on those 'switch over' dates.). The bulls are famous for loving all the earthly comfort a good life can bring, and also for being stubborn... or determined. Some of us are known to shop like one. Chaaaaaarge! (... everything on credit cards, that is!)
Now, we are up to the third sign in the zodiac, GEMINI. NASA had a space project named after this sign. This is the sign for people born between May 21 and June 20. Highly intelligent and quick witted, they're fun and adventurous, but they can change their mood and personality unexpectedly and can be unpredictable. They'll surely keep us on our toes, but hey, some of us just love that about Gemini!
Now, we are up to the fourth sign of the zodiac (and sadly the last one of this first installment today), CANCER. This is the sign for those born between June 21 and July 22. Born with extraordinary capability for empathy, love and compassion are their strengths, but the downside can be the emotional turmoil because they feel things so deeply. But when you're in need of help, the crab will be there to take care of you like no other!

And now, the news I briefly touched earlier when I introduced the three ladies joining the Showcase DT. We are bringing the challenge back! But we will be having it at our FB group. (And if you're one of the people who don't use FB, and the reasons are many - believe me, I totally understand - I'm sorry that I'm not in a position to be able to accommodate everyone... ) We will kick off our first monthly challenge beginning in June. So keep an eye out on the group wall for the announcement to come! Anyone with or without a blog can participate so long as they are on FB. Hope to see you there.
