Featured Creation by KalySto

Hi, everyone!  Glad you can stop by today for yet another of the crafter feature!!  Today, we have a gorgeous jewel-colored creation from KalySto with popular "Princess of the Sea" digi.

Beautiful coloring on the image with rich hues of emerald, ruby, amethyst, and sapphire takes center stage in this gorgeous creation in limited palette.  The sea shells and starfish tucked in with the flowers and aquatic plants compliment perfectly for a stunning look.  You can learn more about what colors she used on her blog here.

"Princess of the Sea" digi comes in 1500 x 2100 pixels at 300 dpi JPG file.  Measures 5" x 7"/12.7 x 17.8 cm approx.  Her crown of sea shells, pearls, and starfish is a lot of fun to color.  Available at my Etsy shop here and at the AW web shop here.

Please stop by again on Friday, August 29, 2014 for a special showcase and a new release.  Here's a sneak peek of the digi that's coming on Friday.

Also, don't forget we have CRAFTINGFUN10 discount code good for 10% off your all-digi purchase of $10 USD or more at both shop locations now through the end of August.  Till next time, happy coloring!

Marie Nyantoinette Flash Contest Results

Hi, everyone!  Glad you can join us today for the results announcement of AW Facebook group's Marie Nyantoinette Flash Contest that ran from August 8th to 17th.  Without further ado, here's my pick for the winner.  Congratulations to Ilvia (Silvia Secaka)!

She wins $20 USD in digis of her choice, a blog badge, and an opportunity to GDT on AuroraWings Challenge Blog in November!  Congratulations, Ilvia!  Well done!

We had a very small turnout for this flash contest - maybe a lot of people are just enjoying the outdoors during the nice summer... or maybe the complexity of the image was a bit too much of a challenge for a short-duration contest - but the entries we received are all lovely and deserve a showcase here.  The following ladies will receive a blog badge and a digi of their choice.

Featured Creation by Fernanda

Hi, everyone!  Glad you can stop by our crafter showcase today featuring a creation by Fernanda Oravec with Bridal Veil digi.

I love the soft coloring on this image with shades of rose and lavender, glittered tulle and pink flowers.  So feminine and dreamlike.  You can see more of her paper crafts with Aurora Wings digis here.

The "Wedding Veil" is a digi made from my fantasy piece titled "The Dark Bride", based loosely on a Grimms' fairy tale called "the White Bride and the Black One".  The original (dark) version of the line art is available as "The Dark Bride" here.  The version used by Fernanda in her beautiful creation above ("Bridal Veil") is found here in my Etsy shop and here in the AW web shop.  Coming in at 1800 x 2400 pixels (at 300 dpi), this is a larger image (6" x 8"/15.2 x 20.3 cm) than most found in my shops.  Lots of details in the lace, which will give you fun opportunity for embellishing with beads, glitter, or pearls.  And if you feel extra-adventurous, color her as if she is ready for the Day of the Dead celebration with skull paint on her face.  Lots of possibilities!

Thank you again for joining us for a crafter feature!  Don't forget to check out the "Mermaid Madness" FB group contest (runs through August 31, 2014) and the "Under the Sea" challenge on our challenge blog (runs through September 13, 2014).  Be sure to read the rules at each place as they are different.

Till next time, happy coloring~!
