Hi, everyone! Welcome to another crafter feature post here at the AuroraWings Showcase Blog! We've been seeing a lot of snow lately, and even here in the desert west of the Rockies where I live, we finally had our first little bit of snow. :D Luckily for me, it was one of these light dustings that make everything look pretty, but melts away before noon and driving is not a problem.
In the mood for the beauty of snow, this creation by Teresa Morgan (She's a regular here in Crafter Features, and has recently guested at the AW Challenge Blog.), using the "Snow Queen" digi, called out to me today. :D
Isn't this a lovely card? I love the balance between beautifully colored image with lots of details and the CAS design on the rest of the card. The lace to the left echoes all the details in the image just enough. The main image, printed on a colored stock (kraft), is a perfect base for highlighting, and the resulting image is magical. Her pale, flawless skin, icy blue hair, and the fur coat all look so magical! You can read more about this beautiful creation in right here in her blog.
"Snow Queen" is available as a 300 dpi JPG digi, 7" x 5"/ 17.8 x 12.7 cm (2100 x 1500 pixels) at AW Etsy shop here and at the AW web shop here. The original illustration was inspired by the famous fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen - one of my childhood favorites. The digi version is formatted for greeting cards, but the original version had a little more details, under her, of roses and bees (references that those familiar with the story will pick up, no doubt ^_^).
On Friday, we have our last DT showcase of 2014, of a new release digi, coming up. I say the last of the year 2014, because we'll be back in January 2015 with more showcases, but the Showcase DT will go on a Christmas holiday for the month. :D I will continue to post crafter showcase and toss in some coupon codes, so please keep checking back. ;) Meanwhile, here's the "Choose Your Code" offer that's good through the end of this month.
As always, these codes are for digi purchases ONLY. Please separate your transactions if you wish to buy coloring books and other physical items that require shipping. This offer is good at both of my shop locations. Just a reminder: If you're using the AW web shop at the www.AuroraWings.com site, please know that your download link will only stay active for 24 hours after transaction. So be sure to shop when you're ready to download right afterwards.
