Featured Creation by Ruza

Today's showcase features a lovely bridal card made by Ruza Stevanovic Rebel , using the AW digital stamp "Wedding Couple".  White with subtlest hint of grey of the papers expands on the color scheme of the wedding couple's white and grey.  Stylish and elegant.   Simple yet eloquent.  Such is the beauty of white when done with the right touch and a magical vision of the designer/crafter.

You can visit her blog and read the details of her creation here.    If you'd like to try your hands at coloring this image or you have a wedding coming up and want to make a card, you can find the digi at my Etsy shop here or in the digi shop at my site here.

This digi is available as 300 dpi, 6" x 8"/15.2 x 20.3 cm black and white JPG (1800 x 2400 pixels) image. Size down  to fit your project or use for as is for the oversized card for the maximum visual impact.

Featured Creation by Karola

Today's showcase features a gorgeous project by Karola Geiger, using the popular "Orchid Fairy with Detailed Butterfly Wings" digi.

The coloring she has done on this complex image is fantastic, with a lovely color scheme and effective highlighting.  When she first posted it at the AW Facebook group, it caught my attention right away.

You can visit her blog and read more about this lovely creation here.

If you want to try your hands at coloring this digi, it is available at my Etsy shop here or at my web shop here.  It's a larger digi measuring 6" x 8" /15.2 x 20.3 cm, 1800 x 2400 pixels JPG.

New Release #2: "Poppy Elf"

Hi, again!  Second unveiling as part of our 900 Members Celebration at the FB group.  This one is called "Poppy Elf".  The ever-popular big eye elf darling with a crown of large blooms, looking aloof and innocent. ^_^

She is available as a 1500 x 2100 pixels JPG file (5" x 7"/ 12.7 x 17.8 cm) at my Etsy shop here and at my web site here.

This digi was made from one of my original ACEOs, measuring just 2.5" x 3.5".   Below is a partially colored sample to give you the idea of what it looked like.

Thanks for checking her out!  ^_^  Happy coloring!!

New Release: Leanne's Angel

Today I have a very special digi release.  As some of you have pointed out while I was working on the line art, this is my very first angel image.  I really enjoyed working on this drawing.  The usually stressful inking phase was more of a meditation in motion with her.  She brings a warm and peaceful feeling in me every time I look at and work on her.  She has a lovely visual flow with a timeless feel with all the details you would expect in a fantasy digi from me.

This digi is called "Leanne's Angel" (Please visit Lorraine's blog for more on the back story on the inception of this digi.), and available as a larger 1800x 2400 pixels (6" x 8"/15.2 x 20.3 cm) JPG file.
You can find it at AuroraWings Etsy shop here.

And here's the eye candy to get you really inspired!  The lovely colored and finished creation by Lorraine to bring the vision to life.

Isn't she gorgeous colored?  Lovely with the Victorian feel with delicate pink & cream roses framing the corners.  Satiny pearls pick up the pearl details in the image, contrasting with the glimmer of golden highlights in the wings.  Finished off with a beautiful deep green bow.   The mood of the photo is just wonderful, too, isn't it?  You can read more about this beautiful creation on Lorraine's blog here.

My original ink & watercolor illustration of this is still a work in progress.  I will update my art blog when she's completed.  Hopefully soon. ;)

Welcome to Our New Showcase Blog!

Hi, everyone!  Mitzi here. Thanks for stopping by.  This is our new Showcase Blog.  I'm excited to be featuring some outstanding creations from the fans both here at the blog and our FB group.  Along with the featured pieces selected from the submissions, we'll be having posts from our DT, as well as new product announcements.  It should be a big eye candy once we get rolling here. :D  I hope you can join us and submit your favorite creations for consideration.

*** How to Submit ***

Very simple.  If you're already a member of our FB group, "Stamps by AuroraWings", just find a photo album titled "Submissions for Showcase Blog" and add your photo there.   If you're not on Facebook, simply send your submissions to aurorawingsshowcase(at)aol(dot)com.

Entries submitted using either of these methods will be given equal considerations.  And even if your creation does not get featured right away, please be patient as your piece may still be featured at a later date.

Two things to remember when submitting.
1.)  Please be sure to watermark your photo with your name and the URL of either your blog or FB page where you routinely post your paper craft projects.  Photo should be no larger than 1000 pixels on the short side.
2.)  Include the URL of your blog or FB page in the body of your e-mail, or in the description of the photo if you're submitting to the FB album.  This information will be listed along with your creation in the feature.

*** The Perks ***

What's in it for you?  Well, the honor of being singled out for a spotlight feature, for one.  Maybe an increase in traffic to your blog/page, possibly.  And you get a pretty badge of recognition that you can post on your blog that says your creation has been featured on AuroraWings Showcase Blog.  A free digi of your choice (up to $4 in value from the current shop listings) is just something I almost forgot to mention. LOL

I hope lots of you take advantage of this and add to the beauty of this blog by submitting your projects!
